High school seniors must have their Georgia Tech applications for admission postmarked by this date in order to be considered for the President's Scholarship
November
Last SAT I or ACT tests accepted for consideration in the PS competition
By December 15 (approximately)
Notification letters sent to those students chosen as semifinalists. Semifinalists are asked to submit teacher evaluations
January
PS semifinalists interviewed by regional committees
Early February
Notification letters sent to all students selected as semifinalists. Those selected as finalists are invited to the annual PS Weekend
March 6-7
President's Scholars Weekend 2009. Final interviews, campus tours, and information sessions for finalists and their parents
May 1
Scholarship acceptance forms due. Deposits due to Housing and Admissions.
July
Signing Day Ceremony. Incoming PS freshmen are invited to Georgia Tech for a reception and ceremony in their honor
August 10-14
Annual PS Fall Retreat. Incoming PS freshmen are invited to travel to Helen, Georgia, and Unicoi State Park. The trip is a great way for new students to get to know many of their classmates as well as some of the older President's Scholars
